Weathered Deep Sea Buoys

Weathered Deep Sea Buoys

Sold by - Forester

Two of these deep sea buoys, the red buoy and the green buoy, are heavily weathered. The can bases have stains and some seaweed growth along the surface line of the water. They also have salt stain patches throughout their frames, along with edge weathering.

The yellow and black "hazard" buoy has less weathering because it lies in rough water, preventing buildup of seaweed growth and other kinds of stains. However the metal frame, particularly in the black areas is showing a lot of oxidization.  The yellow and black hazard buoy has four metal air chambers. Its metal transponder on top and its light beacon are powered by solar panels, as well as "backup batteries.)

The red and the green buoys are powered by batteries, and do not carry a transponder. They have two air chambers in their can bases.

All the buoys have metal pitting.
